Our journey began with a simple idea – to revive the essence of traditional Himachali Dham, a sacred food experience known for its purity, complexity, and community spirit. Dham, typically served during religious and social gatherings in Himachal, is a multi-course vegetarian meal cooked slowly and lovingly over a wood-fired stove or “chulha” by specialized chefs known as botis. At Pahadi Chulha, we honour this sacred art by bringing together locally sourced ingredients, time-tested recipes, and the warmth of home-style cooking.
Our rotating weekly menus reflect the seasonal bounty of the hills and the diversity of Himachali flavours. From Rajmah ka Madra, Mukund Badi Madra, Teliya Mah, and Channe ki Dal, to festive sweet dishes like Dry Fruit Mithdi and Manni, every dish is a tribute to our roots.
